Wentworth Miller Announces Exit as Captain Cold from "Arrowverse"

CW's "Arrowverse", the connected universe of series which currently includes Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl, is about to be permanently down a key member. Wentworth Miller, who plays the fan-favorite Captain Cold, announced on his Instagram his departure from the series.

Miller made his first appearance as Captain Cold in The Flash's fourth episode back in 2014. That recurring role transitioned into a full time gig on the spin-off series Legends of Tomorrow in 2016. After seemingly being killed off in Legends' season one finale, Miller then signed a first of its kind deal to become a series regular across all of the Arrowverse series. Fellow Arrowverse regulars Katie Cassidy and John Barrowman eventually signed on for similar deals. The excitement of the deal never actually amounted to much more screentime for Miller, as Cold has since appeared in only four episodes of Legends and three episodes of The Flash. After those sparse appearances, it looks like Miller is ready to move on completely from the role after wrapping up his last fews episodes.

Take a look at his farewell post below.

Will you be sad to see Leonard Snart/Captain Cold go? And would they have been better off just ending his storyline after his heroic sacrifice in the season one finale of Legends of Tomorrow? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
