Millie Bobby Brown Offered Lead Role in New 'Chronicles of Narnia' Film

Following the breakout, worldwide success of Stranger Things last year, the main child cast has been rocketed to superstardom, none moreso than Millie Bobby Brown. She's already filmed a lead role in the upcoming sequel Godzilla: King of Monsters, and now she might be zeroing in on her next blockbuster role.

That Hashtag Show is reporting that the producers of the next Chronicles of Narnia film, The Silver Chair, are offering Brown the lead role of Jill in the film. Disney released the first two Narnia films in the mid-aughts before abandoning the franchise. Fox took a stab at it in 2010 with The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, which failed to spark much interest. Now, TriStar hoping they'll find success with an adaptation of the book The Silver Chair.

Joe Johnston (Captain America: The First Avenger) has signed on to direct the adaptation. The book follows two children from England, Eustace Stubbs and Jill Pole, who are taken to Narnia and sent on an adventure to find King Caspian's missing son.

There's no word yet on whether or not Brown will sign on for the role of Jill, but if she did, the movie would suddenly have a whole lot of star-power. The Silver Chair does not currently have a release date.
